Best Time to Visit
May–June and September–October are the finest months. July is for high-altitude trekking, December–March for skiing.

Armenian Dram (AMD). USD and EUR widely exchanged at bank rate. Cards accepted across Yerevan and resort hotels.

ATMs are widespread in cities; rural areas are cash-first. Most banks open Mon–Fri, 09:30–17:30.
SIM cards
Local SIMs from Viva-MTS or Ucom — about $5 for 20GB + calls. Tourist eSIMs also available.
Internet
Yerevan has nationwide 5G. Hotels and cafés all offer free WiFi. Even mountain villages typically have 4G.
Electricity
230V, Type C/F plugs (European standard). Bring a UK or US adaptor.
Safety
Armenia is consistently ranked among the safest countries in the region. Emergency number: 112.

Daily train to Tbilisi (overnight). Marshrutka mini-vans connect every town — colourful but spartan.
Helicopter transfers
On request — Yerevan to Tatev, Sevan, Dilijan or border crossings. From €1,800 one-way.
